Construction TechniquesLicenses: As a licensed general contractor, swimming pool contractor, master lawn irrigation professional, certified paver installations ICPI, back-flow tester and chemical applicator, be assured our in-house team of professionals has the experience to bring your project to perfection. Our techniques are unique and have been proven successful for over thirty years in our area. Partnering with pentair, the largest pool manufacturer in the world, our three year warranty on all of our components assures quality and customer satisfaction! Below is a list of some construction techniques we utilize on a daily basis. 1. Grade is a very important piece of the puzzle. At the end of the day, the run-off must flow downhill. Many problems are avoided with the simple understanding that trapped water is deadly to a pool project. 2. Back-fill: We back-fill our pools with sand and compact the sand. This assures that you will have a strong footing for your pool deck. 3. Dual main drains are not yet a residential code, but we have believed in this safety feature for years. 4. Custom cut skimmers and return: As every project is different, the air movement on the top of the water is different for each pool. Also, by custom locating the skimmers on-site, we capture as much floating debris as possible. 5. Pool walls tied to the deck: We like a lot of steel. We tie the concrete coping (our default) to the panels and then to the deck, creating a dead man effect and locking the concrete in place. 6. With our default wall ladders, we provide a quality exit from the deep end. The handles for the ladder are offset allowing for automatic covers. 7. Solid steps: While stepping in and out of the pool, a solid footing is a must. Poured-in-place concrete with fat foam covered with the liner doubles as comfy lounge chairs in the water. Full steps offer the ultimate in lounging in the water with never a bouncy feel. 8. The 4" party ledge that completely surrounds the deep end gives you added space in the pool. Not only does this ledge allow you to walk around the deep end, but it also allows you to stand next to the wall and utilize all of your pool. 9. Wall foam provides that slight padding between the wall and liner and helps with absorption. More than anything, it just feels good. 10. Concrete cover boxes allow us to move the cover back and add a shelf in the deep end where the cover retracts to. This shelf can be used as a drink ledge, and it promotes safety. It always has a drain at the bottom so water cannot collect and submerse a cover motor. Many companies may give you an option to choose one of these techniques, but we utilize all as our standard techniques day after day. |
