🌷 April 14th – Planning Your Backyard Upgrade: Where to Start
Hey everyone, Brinx here. I’ve noticed a lot of “standing in the yard and thinking” lately—so let’s turn those ideas into a real plan.
A successful backyard transformation starts with a clear strategy. Without proper planning, projects can become costly, delayed, or underwhelming.
Key steps to planning your outdoor space:
1. Define Your Purpose
Ask yourself how you want to use the space:
Entertaining guests
Relaxing with family
Outdoor cooking
Pool and recreation
2. Evaluate Your Current Layout
Take note of:
Sun vs. shade areas
Drainage issues
Existing structures or slopes
3. Prioritize Features
Focus on high-impact elements first:
Patios or seating areas
Fire features
Pools or water elements
Landscaping and greenery
4. Consider Flow and Functionality
A well-designed yard connects spaces naturally, making it easy to move between areas.
5. Plan for Utilities Early
Electrical, gas, and irrigation should be designed before construction begins—not added later.
Why it matters:
Planning in April allows construction to begin early, ensuring your space is ready for peak summer use.
I’ll be supervising all layouts… especially anything involving shade.
